My least favourite part of any sewing project is cutting out the pattern pieces.
This blazer project has a lot of pieces. I think nearly 80 in total, from wool, linings, and three types of interfacing.
I find it quite boring, and hard on my back (I only have a normal height table to work on) so it's taken me a while.
But several weeks later, here we are! All pieces are cut out, interfacing has been fused, notches have been made - I think I'm ready to start sewing!
I'm hoping actually it comes together quite quickly now and that the time consuming part is over.
It is not until you start sewing your own clothes do you realise just how much time and effort goes into making garments!
