Some things I have been sewing recently. I haven’t really needed new clothes for a while but I still have a few nice pieces of fabric waiting for me in my stash, as well as a huge pile of things in my alteration pile, so I’m slowly making my way through them.

New swishy trousers I made using the Twig and tale Fernway culottes pattern. I love this pattern, dramatic but so comfy.

And this waistcoat I made 6 years ago while I was pregnant and sewing lots of fun things during the height of lockdowns. I love it but it didn’t fit anymore. So I altered it by taking in the sides in, it was a super quick adjustment. This was based on the  Thread theory designs Belvedere waistcoat pattern but I did modify it quite a bit e.g. adding the stand up collar.

I’d forgotten sewing clothes is fun but also weird because you have to pay attention to your body – I think I’ve been ignoring myself a bit lately.
