It was such a joy to unroll this off the loom! You roll the fabric up as you go when weaving so you don’t get to see the full length until the very end.

I used a cotton warp and the weft was made from old t-shirts from my family – soft and full of memories. Was intending this to be a table runner – I thought it would be heavy. But it’s not, so I think I will keep it as a shawl to wrap myself up in.

Trying recycled t-shirt yarn in a larger weaving.

Some textile art I made today – experimenting weaving with some recycled jersey yarn I cut from old tshirts. Appliquéd over the top with fabric scraps.
